We rely hugely on volunteer help for the running of our workshops and performances, and to support our small professional team of artists, tutors and administrators. If you are interested in getting involved as a volunteer, we would love to hear from you; even if you are not able to commit a large amount of time, every contribution is valuable to us.
"I find volunteering at Freewheelers is a thoroughly positive and uplifting experience. It is wonderful to have the opportunity to spend time with the Freewheeler students and also work closely with the extremely professional tutors and be involved with the ambitious and exciting productions. I volunteer on Tuesdays and always look forward to my day". Yvonne, Volunteer
"Being a volunteer with the Freewheelers for the last two and a half years has brought a wonderful new path to my life. It has enabled me to better understand people with disability and to be a part of the joy they get from the work they are involved in. The determination the members show and the fun we all have together is something very special to be a part of". Pip, Volunteer
"[Volunteering] has been a very enriching experience for me and I have learned so much from being a part of such a great group. As a volunteer you learn that it isn’t about you at all. The wonderful thing is your contribution does matter though, as by offering assistance to other less able people you can help them bring things out in themselves that they may not be able to otherwise with other methods". Ashley, Volunteer
