MUSIC
In our friendly inclusive music workshops we have fun with songs and encourage our members to express themselves through music.
Whether you’re new to singing or a seasoned professional, our music group welcomes everyone and we cover everything from pop classics and musicals to ballads and rock, any song a member wants to try.
There’s opportunities to perform at Freewheelers’ showcases and at events, and we’ve brought our musical talents to venues such as the V&A Museum.

I’ve been involved with Freewheelers for over 12 years now. Initially I would help at workshops before we created the Music group which now runs weekly on a Friday morning.
I have worked as a Music teacher in schools and with Drama groups for a number of years before joining Freewheelers and when the opportunity arose to have a permanent position, I jumped at the chance!
Working with the music group is the highlight of my week and I have enormous fulfilment from building confidence in our members who go on to perform wonderful music pieces in our productions. We sing, play, dance and laugh our way through the sessions and leave with a wonderful sense of happiness, friendship and support – this is what the Freewheelers is all about!
